INTEL 8008

Intel 8008 was an early byte-oriented microprocessor which was introduced in April 1972. It was an 8-bit CPU with an external 14-bit address bus that could address 16KB of memory.

Initial versions of the 8008 could work at clock frequencies up to 0.5 MHz, this was later increased in the 8008-1 to a specified maximum of 0.8 MHz

The next proccessor is intel 4040 contains 60 Instructions. clock speed 1.35msec (740 KHz).
Addressable memory 8KB directly accessible.

It was intorduced on 1974.

computer & Intel

Intel First developed first commercially available computer processor is 4004. It was released on 1971.Actually it was devloped for Japanese calulator company Busicom.

In 1969 Busicom, commissioned Intel Corporation to make the chips for a line of calculators that Busicom intended to sell.
